Additional charges
A landing fee of £11.00 is payable on arrival at Ascension Island Wideawake Airfield or at the Police Station for all passengers, or to immigration officers.
Landing Permits
Landing permits at Ascension Island are required for all passengers. These can to be obtained in advance through the AWS Reservations Department who will submit them to Ascension Island Government for permission to land well before embarkation on the flight. (see the Rules & Regulations Page for more info on AWSL charges)..
There are standard conditions of carriage by air offered by the RAF at the time of ticket issuance.
Notes:
Only 20 seats per flight are allocated to civilians, therefore advance bookings are recommended.
Andrew Weir Shipping can request the Administrator's permission for you to travel to the Island.
Important:
As these flights are under the sole control of the RAF Andrew Weir Shipping Ltd cannot guarantee that seats will always be available despite a seat confirmation, and that passengers may not be embarked or may be offloaded as a result of a military descision or if technical problems do occur with the aircraft or the required Military payload on that flight precludes a full compliment of passengers being carried.
