Governors Cup Yacht Race

RMS St Helena entering Cape Town on December 27, 2002, carrying six ocean racing yachts as deck cargo. The yachts had recently completed the annual Governors Cup yacht race between Cape Town and the island of St Helena, a distance of of some 1,500 miles. The RMS always acts as Guard Ship for the race.
