Rules and regulations

All visitors to Ascension Island need the Administrator's written permission to do so. Visitors must complete one form each and prior to arrival send to our office for processing, an approved form will be returned to the visitor. Also it is essential for visitors to have medical insurance which include medivac to an amount of £1,000,000.00.
An entry permit form may be downloaded from this web site here and may be faxed back to 020 7575 6200. AWSL regrets that it has to make an administration charge of £10 for handling applications.

All visitors must be in possession of a full medical insurance policy which covers medical evacuation by air, if necessary. Although a policy can be bought from the Ascension Island Government in Georgetown, visitors should note that cover under this policy is limited and for their own protection. Serious consideration should be given to taking out personal medical insurance before travelling including any additional cover for any pre-existing condition you may have. In any event pre-existing medical conditions will not be covered by the insurance policy available on the island.
