Sept 06 - Press release - Andrew Weir Shipping Retains RMS St Helena Contract
Andrew Weir Shipping Ltd has announced it has been awarded a further five-year contract by St Helena Line Ltd for the ship management and passenger marketing for the RMS St Helena.
The new contract sees Andrew Weir Shipping reappointed as shipping agent for worldwide marketing and also onshore administration of the passenger service.

St Helena Line's Chairman, Garry Hopcroft (right), commented: "This new arrangement will, in my opinion, see us through towards the completion of St Helena's new airport. Andrew Weir Shipping's re-appointment will ensure the continuity of an invaluable service. I am confident they will run the ship as effectively as they have done for us in the past."
Andrew Weir Shipping's Managing Director, Steve Corkhill (left), is delighted to be renewing the contract: "I look forward to the continuing success of RMS
St Helena and also to being increasingly involved in the construction of the airport and continued welfare and well-being of the island."
RMS St Helena provides a regular service to St Helena and Ascension in the South Atlantic, departing from Cape Town, South Africa, Walvis Bay, Namibia or Portland in the UK.
This announcement has also followed recent contracts with Hebridean International Cruises, Moor Loggers Ltd and a luxury super yacht.
